LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the prize money for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which begins on April 11.
According to the PCB, the winning team of this year’s tournament will take home $500,000 along with the Luminara Trophy. The runner-up will receive $200,000.
A total of six teams will compete in the event, which will run from April 11 to May 18. The opening ceremony will take place before the first match between defending champions Islamabad United and two-time winners Lahore Qalandars.
The tournament will kick off with a grand opening ceremony at Rawalpindi Stadium, followed by the first match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions and two-time title holders respectively.
The second match will take place on April 12, with Karachi Kings facing Multan Sultans in Multan. On April 13, fans will witness a double-header: Quetta Gladiators will take on Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi, followed by Lahore Qalandars playing Multan Sultans later in the day.

A total of 34 matches will be played across four cities — Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan — from April 11 to May 18. Lahore will host 13 matches, including both Eliminators and the Final. Rawalpindi will stage 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on May 13, while Karachi and Multan will each host five matches.

Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will host five matches each.
Three double-headers are also planned — two on Saturdays and one on Labour Day (May 1).
Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi will continue as captains of Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, and Lahore Qalandars, respectively. Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will have new captains this season — David Warner and Saud Shakeel.
