KARACHI: Data Vault Pakistan has opened the first data centre in the country dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI). This new facility aims to change how Pakistan develops and uses AI technology.
The launch comes as Pakistan works to speed up its national AI plan. The new data centre will support startups, researchers, businesses, and government agencies by providing the necessary technology and infrastructure.
The centre offers powerful computing resources like high-performance Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and secure cloud services. Data Vault says this will help AI innovation grow within Pakistan, using clean solar energy and local infrastructure.
Mehwish Salman Ali, founder and CEO of Data Vault Pakistan, said, “We didn’t just build a data centre—we created a launchpad for Pakistan’s AI future. Our goal is to help local innovators build world-class AI solutions without relying on foreign platforms. This is about self-reliance and unlocking Pakistan’s digital potential.”
AI startups in Pakistan can now use enterprise-level GPU services to train and launch AI models faster and at lower costs. This will help businesses bring their products to market more quickly and with fewer limits on computing power.

Universities and research centres can also work with Data Vault to use its infrastructure for deep learning and AI research. Government and private organisations can keep sensitive data safe in a secure environment that follows global privacy rules and keeps data inside Pakistan.
Data Vault’s data centre runs fully on solar power, making it the country’s first green AI data centre. It uses strong encryption and zero-trust security to protect data and critical systems.
The company said, “By offering affordable, secure, and scalable computing, Data Vault is opening new doors for entrepreneurs, engineers, students, and policymakers who want to build Pakistan’s AI future.”
