Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey will not take part in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season with Islamabad United. He is currently committed to domestic cricket in Australia and won’t be able to join the tournament.
Islamabad United had picked Carey as a partial replacement for South African batter Rassie van der Dussen. According to the team’s management, Rassie van der Dussen will soon join the squad.
Corbin Bosch Withdraws from PSL, Apologizes to Fans
South African cricketer Corbin Bosch has officially withdrawn from PSL and expressed regret over his decision. In a video message, Bosch apologized to the PSL management and fans of Peshawar Zalmi.
“I’m sorry to step back from such a respected tournament. I know this decision has disappointed fans, and I take full responsibility,” Bosch said.
He also accepted the one-year ban and fine imposed by PSL management.
“I respect the punishment and hope to return stronger after the ban,” he added.
Bosch was selected by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category for PSL Season 10. After his withdrawal, PSL banned him from playing in the next season as well.
PSL 10 Opening Ceremony Set for April 11 in Rawalpindi
The opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 will take place today, Friday, April 11, at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM and will feature performances by top artists.

Singers performing at the event include Abida Parveen, Ali Zafar, Abrar-ul-Haq, Natasha Baig, Talha Anjum, and Young Stunners. Fireworks will also be part of the show.
Strict security arrangements have been made, and organizing the event in hot weather is seen as a major challenge.
Several big names in cricket commentary will be part of the event, including former England captain Sir Alastair Cook, Wasim Akram, and former MCC President Mark Nicholas.
Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars in Opening Match
The first match of PSL 10 will be played tonight at 8:30 PM between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
