RAWALPINDI: To help people and cricket fans during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from April 11 to April 19, 2025, the City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has made a clear traffic plan.
More than 365 officers and staff will manage traffic during the event. This includes one Senior Traffic Officer, eight DSPs or Circle Incharges, 50 Inspectors or Sector Incharges, and 308 Traffic Wardens and Assistants.
Following instructions from Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi, Ms. Benish Fatima, special steps have been taken to keep traffic moving on other roads during match days and when teams travel.
Five parking areas have been set up, and a shuttle service, arranged by the district administration, will run between these parking spots and the stadium.

When cricket teams arrive or leave, Murree Road will be closed from Faizabad to the Double Road Turn. Traffic from Islamabad will be sent to the Expressway via Faizabad.

Vehicles going from Rawalpindi to Islamabad can use other entry points like Chandni Chowk, Rehman Abad, and 6th Road via Saidpur Road. Traffic from Ghausia Chowk will be guided to Farooq Azam Road and Kurri Road.
Stadium Road will be closed in both directions from 9th Avenue Chowk to the Double Road Turn during match hours. Vehicles from Islamabad via 9th Avenue can reach Rawalpindi using the Expressway and IJP Road through places like Pandora Chungi, Katarian, Carriage Factory, and Pirwadhai Morr.
For those going from Rawalpindi to Islamabad via Double Road and 9th Avenue, Murree Road through Faizabad will stay open as another option.
CTO Benish Fatima said, “The traffic police and security teams are ready, but the plan will work best if people help us. We want traffic to move smoothly and for everyone to enjoy the matches safely.”

She added that the City Traffic Police is committed to helping citizens and asked people to follow updates and traffic diversions shared through official sources.
