LAHORE: Saudi Arabia has started issuing multiple-entry visit visas to Pakistani nationals again. The Etimad centres began processing applications from June 23.
This decision has brought relief to many families and others who were waiting for months for the visa service to restart.
Earlier in February, Saudi Arabia had temporarily stopped issuing these visas to citizens of 14 countries, including Pakistan, due to the Hajj season 2025. Other affected countries were Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen.
Saudi officials said the suspension was due to problems in recent years. Many visitors misused the multiple-entry visa to overstay and perform Hajj without permits, causing overcrowding and security risks. Some also worked illegally on family or business visas, breaking visa rules and affecting the local job market.

Families visiting the Etimad Centre in Lahore shared their happiness with the media, saying their visa applications are now being processed. They said this will help them reunite with loved ones living or working in Saudi Arabia.
The multiple-entry visa allows travelers to enter Saudi Arabia several times within one year. Each visit can last up to 90 days. This visa is available for tourism, business, and family visits.
