LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has granted protective bail to Bushra Bibi until May 23 in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
A two-member bench, led by Justice Shehbaz Rizvi of the Lahore High Court, considered Bushra Bibi’s application for security bail in the Al-Qadir Trust case. Bushra Bibi, accompanied by Imran Khan, appeared in court.
The federal government, NAB, and others were included as parties in the petition submitted to the Lahore High Court. The petition highlighted that NAB has initiated an investigation into the Al-Qadir Trust case. Concerns were raised about the illegality of the ongoing NAB investigation and the potential for arrest by NAB.
The court was requested, in the petition, to transfer the case to the Islamabad Accountability Court for the granting of security bail in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
