ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days.
According to the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the price of petrol in the country has been reduced by Rs 12 per litre, after which the new price will be Rs 270 per litre. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel will undergo a reduction of Rs 30, bringing it down to Rs 258 per litre.
Additionally, the price of kerosene will be decreased by Rs 12 per litre, resulting in a new price of Rs 164.07 per litre.Furthermore, the price of light diesel oil has been fixed at Rs 152.68 per litre, following a reduction of Rs 12.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar expressed hope that the price reduction in petrol and diesel will positively impact the prices of other goods as well. Consequently, he urged the transporters to lower their fares, aligning them with the reduced fuel prices.
