ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Market Committee has issued the latest price list for vegetables, fruits, and chicken for Saturday, February 22, 2025.
This updated list features essential kitchen staples such as tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, and ginger. Consumers can expect some relief as prices for certain items have dropped significantly compared to last month. Additionally, carrots, potatoes, and ginger have become more budget-friendly.
This daily price update aims to promote transparency and fair pricing in the market. Residents are encouraged to check the official rates before making purchases and report any instances of overcharging or irregularities to the relevant authorities.
Islamabad’s fruit and vegetable market (Sabzi Mandi) remains a central hub for produce sourced from across Pakistan. Supplies arrive from various cities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as remote regions of Balochistan and Sindh. Seasonal produce from Gilgit-Baltistan and imports from Iran and Afghanistan are also available. The market serves both local shopkeepers in Islamabad and bulk buyers from surrounding areas.
Many residents prefer shopping at the Sabzi Mandi over smaller markets due to its competitive prices on fresh produce. To maintain consistency and fairness across Islamabad’s markets, the administration releases a daily updated price list for consumers’ reference.
