Compared to last month, prices for tomatoes, cabbage, and cauliflower have dropped significantly, offering much-needed relief to consumers. Additionally, carrots, potatoes, and ginger are now available at more affordable rates, easing the financial burden on households.

To ensure transparency and fair pricing, the price list is updated daily. Consumers are encouraged to check the official rates before making purchases to avoid overpaying. Any instances of overcharging or irregularities should be reported to the relevant authorities for immediate action.

At Islamabad’s fruit and vegetable market (Sabzi Mandi), produce from across Pakistan is available for sale. Along with supplies from various cities in Punjab, fruits and vegetables from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also brought here. Farmers from remote areas of Balochistan and Sindh send their goods to the capital for sale. Seasonal produce from Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as items from neighboring countries like Iran and Afghanistan, can also be found. Shopkeepers in Islamabad frequently visit the market to purchase goods, while numerous vendors from surrounding areas come to buy in bulk.

Local residents prefer shopping at the fruit and vegetable market over local markets or sectors due to the availability of fresh produce at reasonable prices. The administration issues a daily price list to maintain consistent and fair pricing across the city.
