KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet has approved a five-year age relaxation for government jobs, as per the private tv channel report.
According to a report, the provincial cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, with ministers, advisors, and secretaries in attendance.
Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon stated that this decision would not apply to Sindh Police and Public Service Commission jobs. According to media sources, the Sindh cabinet also approved the Universities and Boards Amendment Bill 2025.
Earlier, the Sindh governor had sent the bill back to the assembly with objections and had also raised concerns regarding the appointments of heads in universities and boards.

The cabinet meeting also approved an increase in the age limit for government jobs by five years, raising the maximum age limit from 28 to 33 years.
Report say that in the past, a 15-year relaxation was granted for government jobs, which was later abolished.
It should be noted that, according to Sharjeel Memon, this decision will not apply to Sindh Police and Public Service Commission jobs.
