ISLAMABAD: After a drop in global crude oil prices, petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan are expected to decrease from February 16, 2025.
According to sources, the industry has sent a price adjustment proposal to OGRA. It suggests reducing petrol prices by Rs 2.49 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs 9.11 per liter. Kerosene prices may decrease by Rs 3.45 per liter, while light diesel could see a reduction of Rs 5.60 per liter.
OGRA will finalize its calculations based on global market trends and submit them to the government on February 15. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will approve the new prices, after which the Ministry of Finance will issue a notification.

Crude oil prices in the global market have dropped by 6%, bringing the price down from $83.40 to $78.35 per barrel.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Finance will issue a notification of new prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days. The new prices will be implemented from February 16.
