ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed its petrol pump in Islamabad’s F-6 sector after canceling the lease. The action was taken due to the tenant’s non-payment of dues.
According to reports, the petrol pump, owned by CDA employees, was leased to a private company for over 20 years at a low rent. The tenant failed to pay Rs45 million in dues. A special magistrate, Sardar Asif, sealed the pump following the default.
The CDA’s administration wing, which managed the petrol pump, is under a special audit. Allegations of misuse of CDA vehicles and petrol have also surfaced, prompting the audit.
In a press release, the CDA said it had taken back the petrol pump site after canceling the lease. The statement revealed that Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Awan Associates owed over Rs480 million to the CDA but failed to clear the dues despite repeated notices.
The press release also mentioned violations at the petrol pump that went against the lease agreement. Notices were issued to address these issues, but the tenant did not comply. As a result, the lease was canceled, and the site was repossessed.

The CDA plans to allocate the petrol pump site through a transparent bidding process. A committee, led by the Director General of Administration, will oversee the bidding to ensure fairness.
The CDA also noted that legal cases related to the site had been resolved after persistent follow-up.
Separately, a three-member committee, led by Deputy Director General Environment Rana Tahir, has been tasked with auditing the administration wing.
The committee will review store items, vehicle repair records, and maintenance processes from the past five years. The goal is to identify irregularities and recommend measures to prevent future issues.
