QUETTA: At least six people lost their lives and ten others were injured when a passenger bus caught fire after a collision with a petrol-loaded rickshaw on Quetta’s Western Bypass.
Rescue officials said the Mazda bus was travelling from Nawan to Hazarganji when it hit a loading rickshaw carrying petrol. The petrol caught fire immediately after the crash, and the flames quickly spread to the bus, burning several passengers.
Rescue teams and firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to control the blaze. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have sealed the accident site and launched an investigation.
A spokesperson for the Balochistan government expressed deep sorrow over the incident and said an inquiry has been ordered. Strict action will be taken against those responsible once the investigation is complete.

Government official Shahid Baloch said the authorities stand with the families of the victims and are ensuring proper treatment for the injured. He also assured that all possible support will be provided to the affected families.
