Lahore: Former Prime Minister and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz have returned to Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif traveled from Lahore to Dubai on October 25. From there, he visited London, the US, and Europe.
Maryam Nawaz departed for Geneva on November 7 on a private flight. In Geneva, she underwent medical tests for a parathyroid condition. After spending a few days there, she traveled to London.
Before returning to Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz departed Avenfield for the airport. Nawaz Sharif briefly spoke to the media before their departure.
He also criticized a call for protest planned for November 24. “Those spreading false propaganda will only face failure,” he added.
Maryam Nawaz earlier addressed rumors about her health, denying claims that she had cancer. She clarified that most of her treatment was carried out in Pakistan, but her specific condition required treatment available only in Switzerland and the US.
Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz were in London for the past few days before their return.
