Punjab govt announces summer camps in schools starting June 20, 2024

LAHORE: The Punjab government has notified summer camps in private and government schools from June 20, 2024.

According to the announcement, the summer camp hours are scheduled from 7 am to 10 am and from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Per the letter, attendance at summer camp is optional for all students. Parental consent is necessary for enrollment in the summer camp.

According to the notification, the school must be equipped with a generator, provide cold water, and have fans. Students are not obliged to wear uniforms.

As per the school’s education department, summer camps should include teaching artificial intelligence, IT, and robotics. The summer camp is scheduled to commence on June 20 and will last for 30 days.

It should be noted that the Punjab Government had announced summer vacations from Saturday, 1st June 2024, to Wednesday, 14th August 2024.

It further added that “all schools in the province would reopen with effect from Thursday, 15th August 2024.”
