RAWALPINDI: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given in-principle approval for the launch of a 3-marla plot scheme under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar project.
As per private tv channel report, a special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, during which the progress of the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar scheme was reviewed.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister was briefed that more than 800 houses are in the final stages of completion under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar project.
The data of 50,000 applicants has been transferred to Akhuwat for verification, while the verification of 38,000 applicants has been completed. Additionally, 20,900 applicants have submitted the required documents under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar project.

The briefing further informed that the papers of 8,424 applicants are complete. The number of registered users on the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar portal is more than 600,000, and over 3.25 lakh applications for houses have been received on the portal. The target for the construction of 47,000 houses by June 2025 and one lakh houses by December 2025 will be achieved.
In the meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz gave in-principle approval for the launch of the 3 Marla Plot Scheme. The scheme will begin with the provision of 666 plots under the 3 Marla Scheme in Chishtian.
The first installment of the loan has already been paid to 927 applicants under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar project. The Chief Minister directed that the payment of the second installment be completed as soon as possible.
Maryam Nawaz also approved the gift of furniture and other goods for the first five houses completed under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar project, while directing that work on the project be expedited.
