Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to register all unregistered restaurants and marriage halls across the province.
According to the details, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved the decision during a special meeting. She directed officials to start steps for the registration of small and big restaurants and marriage halls in Punjab.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister rejected all proposals to increase taxes. She said the government will expand the tax net instead of putting more burden on the people.
“It is unfair that a person who registers pays the price while tax evaders enjoy benefits. This will not be allowed,” she said.
Maryam Nawaz also said the common man should not be burdened. “A person earning Rs 200,000 a month pays tax, but those earning millions do not. This system must change.”
