KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on April 4, 2024, to mark the death anniversary of former prime minister and late Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
According to a notification issued by the provincial authorities, April 4, 2024, has been declared a public holiday throughout Sindh province in honor of the 45th Martyrdom anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the former Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

All government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the provincial government will be closed on this day, except those involved in essential services.

Additionally, the provincial government has announced April 1st, 2024, as a public holiday for the Christian community to observe the “Day After Easter.”
This holiday applies to all public and private offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, and corporations under the administrative jurisdiction of the Sindh government.
