ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has called for PTI Chairman Imran Khan to openly denounce the incidents of May 9th.
The President emphasized that those responsible for the events must not only be condemned but also face appropriate action.
During his speech, the President stressed the importance of upholding human rights throughout the legal proceedings, advocating against any form of mistreatment.
He emphasized that the perpetrators should be punished in accordance with the law.
Furthermore, President Arif Alvi highlighted that Imran Khan did not express opposition to the appointment of General Asim Munir as the Army Chief.
He mentioned that Imran Khan had conveyed his willingness to accept any individual chosen by the organization for the role of Army Chief, as long as General Bajwa was informed.
