PESHAWAR: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has started a cluster system in three districts to stop cheating and manage intermediate exams smoothly, beginning May 7, 2025.
According to the details, more than 130,000 students will take exams at 420 centers, with 4,500 staff assigned through digital balloting to ensure transparency, support, and a fair environment.
At a press conference at BISE Peshawar, Commissioner of Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mahsud, who is also the board chairman, said preparations were complete to follow the same method used in recent matriculation exams.
He mentioned that deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners will supervise the exams, and the chief executive of PESCO was asked to provide continuous electricity during exam hours.
Students from Peshawar, Charsadda, Upper Chitral, Lower Chitral, Mohmand, and Khyber districts will participate. The cluster system will be used in Peshawar, Charsadda, and Khyber, with 43 clusters set up, each covering 10 to 12 colleges within a three-kilometer radius.

What is Cluster System?
A cluster system in the context of exam cheating detection typically refers to a clustering-based approach that uses machine learning or data analysis techniques to group and analyze student behaviors, performance data, or other metrics to identify potential cheating. It works by detecting patterns or anomalies that deviate from expected behavior, flagging suspicious activities for further investigation.
