ISLAMABAD: The British Council Pakistan has confirmed that all exams planned for today will take place as usual, despite rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
In a Facebook post, the organization stated: “All exams scheduled for today will proceed as planned. We will inform you if there are any changes.”
It added, “If you have any concerns, please check with your school. Private candidates can contact our Customer Services center.”
Punjab Boards Postpones Intermediate and Matric Exams
Meanwhile, all boards in Punjab have postponed intermediate annual exams and matric practical exams after Indian strikes in Pakistan.

A notification said all education boards in Punjab “With approval from the authorities, all theory and practical exams for HSSC and SSC 1st Annual Examinations 2025, scheduled for May 7, have been postponed. A new schedule will be announced later.”
The Punjab government has closed all public and private schools and colleges across the province for May 7, 2025 after India’s attack on Pakistan. With Punjab on high alert, the government said the decision was made to ensure the safety of students.
In the same development, Allama Iqbal Open University has postponed all exams scheduled for May 7 across the country. The new date for these exams is June 16, 2025.
