ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has confirmed that all airports in the country are fully operational, and national airspace is safe for civil aviation.
As per the details, a PAA spokesperson stated that the safe and efficient management of national airspace ensures the smooth operation of both domestic and international commercial flights. All necessary aviation safety measures are being implemented in Pakistan’s airspace.
Several flights by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and other international airlines have departed as scheduled. These include PIA flights such as Karachi to Islamabad (PK-246), Lahore to Madinah (PK-7221), Islamabad to Riyadh (PK-753), Islamabad to Doha (PK-287), Abu Dhabi to Peshawar (PK-218), Sialkot to Jeddah (PK-179), Lahore to Baku (PK-159), and Abu Dhabi to Lahore (PK-264).
PIA has issued new guidelines for passengers due to the current situation. A PIA spokesperson noted that some flight operations have been partially suspended, and passengers are advised to confirm their flight status in advance. Updates can be obtained from PIA’s call centers and booking offices.

Due to tensions between Pakistan and India, some air routes at Lahore Airport were temporarily closed. According to a PAA notice, routes J186, J165, and J139 were closed for 24 hours for operational reasons, but air operations have now been fully restored.
The PAA has informed the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) about concerns regarding civil aviation safety due to actions by India. All flights at Islamabad Airport are operating normally, with incoming flights permitted to land following Air Traffic Control (ATC) instructions.
Following the airspace restrictions between Pakistan and India, several international airlines canceled or rerouted their flights. Asian and European carriers, including Taiwan’s EVA Air, announced they would adjust flight paths to avoid affected airspace.
With the restoration of Pakistani airspace, international flights are gradually returning to normal. PAA officials stated that they are taking all necessary steps to ensure passenger convenience and safety.
