ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has approved the schedule for the federal budget for the financial year 2025-26.
According to reports, the federal budget will be presented in the National Assembly on 10 June. There will be no assembly sessions on 11 and 12 June. The debate on the budget will begin on 13 June.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that all parliamentary parties in the Assembly will be given time to speak according to the rules. The budget debate will continue until 21 June, and the session on that day will conclude the discussion. The Assembly will not meet on 22 June.
On 23 June, the Assembly will hold a discussion on the necessary expenditures proposed in the 2025-26 budget.

Further, on 24 and 25 June, the House will hold debates and voting on demands, grants, and cut motions. The Finance Bill will be passed on 26 June.
Ayaz Sadiq added that on 27 June, discussions and voting will be held on supplementary grants and other matters. Any changes to this schedule can only be made with the Speaker’s permission.
