The meeting also approved the reserve price for the Zu Business Centre Chamkani. This business center can be leased to private companies through an open auction or to government bodies under G2G rules.
Before this, in October 2024, the Peshawar BRT bus fares were increased. A spokesperson said the recent fare hike was applied to buses running on the express route. The fare for these buses is now fixed at 55 rupees.
The Trans Peshawar spokesperson explained that whether a passenger travels one stop or many on a BRT bus, they will now pay 55 rupees. The fare increase applies to ER 09, 10, 12, and 16 buses.
According to the BRT spokesperson, people traveling long distances will not be affected. However, citizens who get off after one or two stops should avoid using the express route to save on the higher fare.
