KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced the new timings of schools in Ramadan 2025 for which a notification has also been issued.
According to the notification issued regarding the working hours of schools during Ramadan in Sindh, the first double shift in primary schools operating on double shifts in the province will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, while the second double shift will be from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm, and the single shift will be from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.
On Friday, the first double shift in primary schools will be from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, the single shift will be from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, while the second double shift will be from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm.

In an other other news, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the Ramadan moon is likely to be sighted on March 1, 2025, the first fast (Roza) is expected on March 2, 2025.
According to the PMD, the moon is expected to be born on February 28 at 5:45 PM, signaling the start of the Islamic month of Ramadan.
Report say If the moon is sighted on March 1, the holy month will officially begin in Pakistan.
International media has reported that countries like the UAE and other Gulf nations may see the moon on February 28, with Ramadan starting on March 1 there.
In Pakistan, the moon sighting will determine the final date, but March 2 is the likely start for fasting. The announcement has sparked preparations among millions of Muslims across the country.
It should be remembered that the final decision on the moon sighting will be made in coordination with the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
