RAHIM YAR KHAN: A tragic traffic accident took place in the Zahir Pir area of Tehsil Khanpur in Rahim Yar Khan, where a speeding passenger bus hit a rickshaw on the national highway, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to seven others.
According to rescue officials, the accident occurred due to fog and speeding, after which the bus skidded off the road. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where the condition of some is said to be critical.
Meanwhile, a collision between a bus and a dumper also took place near Baldia Moach Goth Pul in Karachi, in which nine people were injured. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
A few days ago, another tragic accident took place near San Town on the Indus Highway, where an SUV coming from the opposite direction collided with a car.
In the accident, 16-year-old Ali Kazim Khawaja, a naat khawan from Skardu; his 18-year-old brother, Nadeem Khawaja; 24-year-old Jan Ali Shah Kazmi from Shigar; social worker Zain Turabi; and Abdul Ghani Mangreev from Rohri died on the spot.

After the accident, the bodies were shifted to Manjhand Taluka Hospital and then taken to Karachi, where Zain Turabi and Abdul Ghani Mangreev were buried. The bodies of three people, including Jan Ali Shah Kazmi and his brother, were sent to Skardu and Shigar for burial via a PIA flight.
Thousands of people were present at the Skardu International Airport to receive the bodies, from where they were taken to the main Imamia Jamia Mosque. Emotional scenes of grief and sorrow were witnessed there.
Naat khawan Ali Kazim Khawaja, his elder brother Nadeem Khawaja, and Jan Ali Shah Kazmi were laid to rest in their native village, with thousands of people attending the funeral prayers.
