Karachi’s R3 Peoples Bus Service route temporarily changed for Champions Trophy 2025

KARACHI: Due to the Champions Trophy 2025, the route of the Peoples Bus Service’s R3 bus in Karachi has been temporarily changed.

According to a newspaper report, the Peoples Bus Service administration has said that due to the Champions Trophy, where heavy traffic is banned, the Peoples Bus Service is also not allowed to pass through certain highways.

According to the administration, due to the match, the R3 bus, which used to go from North Nazimabad via Liaquatabad, Hassan Square, and Karsaz to Shara-e-Faisal, will now reach Shara-e-Faisal via Teen Hatti and Shara-e-Quaideen.

The administration says that the route of the R3 bus has been changed only for match days, while on normal days other than matches, this bus will run according to the old route.

Karachi Peoples Bus Service R3 temporarily change:

Route Type Stops
Old Route North Nazimabad → Liaquatabad → Hassan Square → Karsaz → Shara-e-Faisal
Temporary Route North Nazimabad → Teen Hatti → Shara-e-Quaideen → Shara-e-Faisal

In another news, the Sindh government has announced new school timings for Ramadan 2025.

As per the notification, Primary schools on double shifts will operate from 7:30 am to 11:30 am (first shift) and 11:45 am to 2:45 pm (second shift), with single shifts from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. On Fridays, timings are adjusted to 7:30 am to 10:30 am (first shift), 8:00 am to 11:30 am (single shift), and 11:45 am to 1:15 pm (second shift).

Secondary, higher secondary, and elementary schools will follow the same schedule. A formal notification has been issued detailing these changes.
