Compared to last month, prices for tomatoes, cabbage, and cauliflower have seen a significant decline, with tomato prices dropping further today, providing much-needed relief to consumers. Additionally, carrots, potatoes, and ginger are now available at more affordable rates, helping to ease the financial burden on households.

The price list is updated daily to ensure transparency and fair pricing. Consumers are advised to check the official rates before making purchases to avoid overpaying. Any instances of overcharging or irregularities should be reported to the relevant authorities for prompt action.

At Islamabad’s fruit and vegetable market (Sabzi Mandi), produce from all regions of Pakistan is available for sale. Along with supplies from various cities in Punjab, fruits and vegetables from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also brought here. Farmers from remote areas of Balochistan and Sindh send their goods to the capital for sale. Seasonal produce from Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as items from neighboring countries like Iran and Afghanistan, can also be found in the market. Shopkeepers in Islamabad regularly visit the market to purchase goods, while numerous vendors from surrounding areas come to buy items in bulk.

Official price list for Fruits in Islamabad – Wednesday, 12 February 2025:

The Islamabad Market Committee has announced the updated price list for fruits, effective Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

Kinnow, which has been in season since last month and will remain available for a few more weeks, experienced a price drop of over PKR 50 per dozen last week. However, prices have remained steady today. Grade A Kinnow is currently priced between PKR 286 and 300 per dozen, while Grade B Kinnow is being sold for PKR 154-165 per dozen. While some superstores and shopping malls sell kinnow by weight (per kilogram), smaller or lower-quality kinnows are available at discounted rates.

The updated price list shows that the prices of most fruits in the market are stable, with only minor fluctuations observed for a few items. Bananas, which had been gradually increasing in price over the past few days with an average rise of PKR 5 to 10 per dozen daily, are now stable. The list includes a variety of seasonal fruits such as bananas, oranges, apples, guavas, grapes, and strawberries, which have recently become available due to the season change. Strawberries are currently priced at a maximum of PKR 530. Other fresh produce currently available in the market is also featured in the list.
