ISLAMABAD: Security forces conducted intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in several districts of Balochistan, killing five terrorists and injuring three others, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Friday.
“On the night of August 29/30, in three separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in District Kech, Panjgur, and Zhob, security forces killed five terrorists and injured three others during intense exchanges of fire,” as per military’s media affairs wing.
It added that the sanitisation operations would “continue until all perpetrators, facilitators, and accomplices of these heinous acts are brought to justice.”
The military asserted that “Pakistan’s security forces, in unity with the nation, remain committed to thwarting attempts to sabotage the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan.”
It further added that “the security forces are conducting extensive intelligence-based operations (IBOs) to hunt down the perpetrators of these heinous acts.”
At least 50 people, including 14 security personnel, were martyred as militants attacked police stations, blew up railway tracks, and set fire to nearly three dozen vehicles across the province.
Armed men killed at least 23 passengers in Balochistan’s Musakhel district after forcing them off trucks and buses. In response, security forces neutralized 21 militants.
