ISLAMABAD: The Environment Wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has undertaken various measures to combat environmental pollution and enhance the city’s aesthetics and greenery.

As part of the afforestation initiative in F-9 Park, an initial planting of 15,000 plants has been carried out, replacing paper mulberry and harmful weeds with species indigenous to the area that pose no threat to human health.

Efforts to eradicate such harmful plants detrimental to both human health and the environment are also underway. Oversight by the Member Environment of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has ensured the involvement of NIH doctors and private NGOs in the tree planting campaign at F-9 Park in Islamabad.

It is noteworthy that as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Mari Petroleum has generously contributed 20,000 saplings to the CDA for the afforestation campaign, which will continue in the forthcoming days.

Additionally, the Environment Wing is persistently planting trees on slopes along highways, connecting roads, intersections, green belts, roads, and drains across the city to mitigate environmental pollution.
