PESHAWAR: Syed Kausar Ali Shah has resigned from his position as Additional Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to a private TV channel, he has sent his resignation to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Syed Kausar Ali Shah’s name was included in the list for Peshawar High Court additional judges. However, he was not nominated as a judge due to not leaving PTI membership.
Private TV channel reports say that in his resignation letter, he wrote a slogan in favor of the PTI founder.
He mentioned in the letter that he faced discrimination in the Judicial Commission. He further stated that the commission said his documents did not include an affidavit for quitting PTI membership.
On the other hand, the Judicial Commission has approved the appointment of 10 additional judges for the Peshawar High Court.

The decision was made in a meeting chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi.
According to reports, the commission approved the appointment of Farah Jamshed, Inamullah Khan, Mudassir Ameer, Sabitullah, and Aurangzeb as additional judges.
Additionally, Abdul Fayyaz, Salahuddin, Sadiq Ali, Tariq Afridi, and Aurangzeb Khan will also serve as additional judges at the Peshawar High Court.
