Lahore : The former Chief Minister of Punjab and a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been released from Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore.
The jail administration confirmed his release on Tuesday after he was granted bail in four pending cases against him.
Pervaiz Elahi had previously been transferred from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.

Pervaiz Elahi, who was arrested outside his residence in June 2023, secured bail during a hearing before Justice Sultan Tanveer of the Lahore High Court. His legal team maintained that he had no connection to the alleged appointments, while the Anti-Corruption Department filed the case after a two-year delay
