ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has commenced disbursing the quarterly tranche (April-June) of Benazir Kafaalat cash assistance to beneficiaries across the country in two phases.
According to BISP sources, the payment process is being executed in two phases to disburse Rs. 10,500 per household among over nine million registered beneficiary families.
In the first phase, payments are being issued to beneficiaries in all districts of Islamabad, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.
Payments are also being disbursed in Peshawar, Mardan, and all districts of Malakand and Hazara Division in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, all districts of Karachi Division and District Hyderabad in Sindh province, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, all districts of Sargodha Division, and District Vehari in Punjab.

Payments to beneficiaries in the remaining districts will be issued in the second phase. Beneficiaries can receive their payments at the nearest centers after receiving a message from 8171.
Beneficiaries, in case of any complaints, can approach the nearest BISP Tehsil offices or call the toll-free helpline number 080026477 of the Benazir Income Support Program. A special control room has been activated at BISP headquarters to promptly address beneficiaries’ complaints.

Messages from the Benazir Income Support Program only come from 8171. Don’t believe messages from any other number.
BISP officials have been instructed to ensure the smooth disbursement of Kafaalat payments to women without any deductions. Staff has been deployed to monitor the payment disbursement process and take immediate action against agents responsible for deductions from beneficiaries’ payments.
BISP is currently providing support to 9.3 million deserving families and serving as a lifeline for those experiencing economic hardship.
The Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCT) program, also known as the “Benazir Kafaalat Programme,” started in 2008 and is the main thing BISP does. Over time, it has grown to be the biggest cash-giving program ever in Pakistan.
