ISLAMABAD: The City Traffic Police have unveiled a traffic arrangement ahead of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 to ensure convenience for citizens and cricket enthusiasts in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Under the approved plan by City Traffic Officer Taimur Khan, a contingent of 365 traffic personnel, comprising seven deputy superintendents of police, 40 inspectors, and 318 traffic wardens, will be on duty from March 2 to 10.

Cricket fans are advised to park their vehicles at designated areas: Civil Aviation Ground and Rawal Road, Shaheen Chowk Rawal Road, or Government Postgraduate College, Satellite. Media personnel are instructed to park at the Poultry Institute, Shamsabad, accessible via Benazir Bhutto Road.
During cricket events, Benazir Bhutto Road (Murree Road) will be closed from Faizabad to Stadium Road (Double Road), while Stadium Road will be inaccessible to traffic from both directions.
Commuters can use 6th Road and Saidpur Road to access Islamabad via 9th Avenue. Those traveling from Islamabad to Rawalpindi should take the route via 9th Avenue, Faizabad, Pandora Chungi, Katraian Chungi, Carriage Factory, and Pirwadhai. The City Traffic Officer has instructed relevant authorities to install display boards at various points and launch awareness campaigns on social media and FM 88.6 radio.
