These military officers have been appointed on a secondment basis, adhering to standard terms and conditions outlined in JSI-4/85, effective immediately. The notification received approval from Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar.

Notably, after gaining approval from NAB Chairman Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed, a request was made to the Establishment Division for the deployment of officers from sensitive institutions.

Sources revealed that, in addition to the intelligence agencies, NAB has also enlisted the technical support of personnel from the State Bank of Pakistan, FBR, FIA, and other departments to investigate white-collar corruption.

These intelligence officers and officials on secondment will perform their duties at their respective pay grades and salaries. This move is aimed at establishing a robust and efficient intelligence system within NAB to accelerate the accountability process.
