Four Members of the Same Family Among Six Laborers Killed in Turbat, Two Injured

TURBAT: Six laborers lost their lives and two sustained injuries in a shooting at a residence in the Satellite Town area of Turbat.

The police have reported that the deceased and the injured individuals have been transported to the hospital.

Law enforcement authorities have disclosed that the deceased and injured workers were engaged in construction activities in Turbat.

The police have arrived at the scene of the incident and have initiated an inquiry while actively searching for the perpetrator.

According to police statements, the individuals who fell victim to the gunfire in Turbat have been identified as Rizwan, Shehbaz, Waseem, Shafiq Ahmed, Muhammad Naeem, and Sikandar, whereas the injured parties are Ghulam Mustafa and Tawheed.

Police officials have further indicated that four out of the six individuals who tragically lost their lives in the Turbat shooting were members of the same family, comprising two siblings, a cousin, and an uncle.

The interim Chief Minister of Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki, has strongly condemned the incident and has called for a comprehensive investigation report from the relevant authorities. In a statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office in Balochistan, the Turbat incident is described as deplorable, and the senseless loss of innocent laborers has deeply saddened all.

The statement underscores that the Chief Minister has issued directives to thoroughly probe all facets of the workers’ demise and to submit the report promptly, emphasizing the utilization of all available resources to apprehend those responsible for the incident.
