These changes have come just a few weeks after a big reshuffle in FIA leadership in March 2025. At that time, the federal government had appointed Grade 21 officer Abdul Khaliq Shaikh as the new Director General (DG) of FIA. He was already working as the head of the National Police Bureau and was given the additional charge of FIA chief. But only one day later, the government changed its decision and cancelled his appointment through an order from the Interior Ministry.

The latest promotions and transfers show that administrative changes in the FIA are still ongoing.
