ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Chief Commissioner, and DG Civil Defence Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired the 75th meeting of the CDA Development Working Party.
As per the details, the meeting approved key steps to improve Islamabad’s tourism and recreational facilities. These include hiring consultants to prepare feasibility studies and detailed designs for a modern theme park, an international-standard Ferris wheel, and a cable car system showcasing scenic views around Islamabad. PC-II approval was given for these studies.
Once the feasibility reports are completed within six months, transaction advisors will be hired to ensure timely completion of the projects. Randhawa stressed the importance of promoting Islamabad as a top tourist destination.
These projects show CDA’s commitment to providing quality entertainment along with meeting basic civic needs. After the consultants complete their studies, transaction advisors will oversee implementation as per international standards.
Meanwhile, Kazakh Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin met Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa. They discussed mutual interests, development, beautification of Islamabad, and plantation of eco-friendly trees.
