Punjab Prison Department transfers 8 officers across province

The Punjab Prison Department has issued a notification for the transfer and posting of eight officers across various jails in the province.

According to details, Saqib Nazir has been appointed as Assistant Commandant Training in Sahiwal. He has also been given the additional charge of the Punjab Prisons Staff Training College, Sahiwal. Chaudhry Asghar has been posted as Assistant Inspector General at the Inspectorate of Prisons, Punjab, Lahore. Mansoor Akbar has been posted as Superintendent of Borstal Institute and Juvenile Jail, Bahawalpur. Anees Rana has been appointed as Deputy Superintendent Development at Central Jail, Multan.

Muhammad Zubair Cheema has been directed to report to the Inspectorate of Prisons, Punjab, Lahore.

Waseem Abbas has been posted as Deputy Superintendent Executive at District Jail, Okara. Muhammad Imran Butt has been appointed as Deputy Superintendent Executive at Central Jail, Multan. Shan Imran Khan has been posted as Deputy Superintendent Judicial at District Jail, Gujrat.

It is worth mentioning that just a few days ago, the Punjab government had issued orders for the transfer and posting of 19 senior officers, including eight officers of grade 20 and 21.

These changes included key appointments in departments such as the Board of Revenue, Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), and Special Education. Additionally, 11 officers of grade 17 and 18 were also reshuffled. The large-scale administrative changes were approved by Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman.
