PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has approved a new relief package for the public after the Sehat Card scheme.
According to the provincial government’s spokesperson, Barrister Dr. Saif, the KP government has decided to launch a Life Insurance Scheme for all citizens across the province. This scheme is aimed at providing financial support to families in case the head of the household passes away.
The scheme will cost the government Rs. 4.5 billion per year.
Under this scheme:
-
If a person under the age of 60 dies, their family will receive Rs. 1 million.
-
If the person is above 60 years of age, the family will receive Rs. 500,000.
The main goal of this initiative is to provide immediate financial help to families who lose their main breadwinner, as many families face serious financial problems in such situations.
The spokesperson further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the provincial government is taking practical steps for public welfare.

He added that this assistance will be given under the provincial government’s special relief package. “The government will not leave the families of the martyrs and injured alone. We will take full care of all such affected citizens belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the Chief Minister stated.
