KARACHI: The Sindh government has launched online driving license services for citizens, aiming to facilitate them.
As per private tv channel report, citizens can now easily obtain learning and international driving licenses through the online service, with non-commercial license renewal services coming soon.
People looking to obtain a learning license can do so by logging into the website https://dlsonline.sindhpolice.gov.pk/. After 42 days, they can apply for a permanent license at any branch.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar congratulated the IG Sindh and DIG Driving License for introducing online services. He stated that modern policing is essential and that the Sindh Police’s image will further improve.
Earlier, the Sindh government announced that all 11 driving license branches in the province have started issuing international driving licenses. This service is now also available online for Sindh residents with a valid license.
The issuance of international permits began on September 14 from six license branches in Karachi and branches in the divisional cities of Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana.
On the other hand, under the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the registration for the Honhar Scholarship Program has started.
According to the report, the initiative aims to meet the requirements of the global job market, and scholarships will be given to 30,000 students in 68 disciplines under the Honhar Scholarship Program.
Meritorious scholarships will be awarded to students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges.
