PESHAWAR: Business groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have announced a province-wide shutter down strike on April 26, 2025 to show support for Palestine.
As per the private tv channel report, Mushtaq Ahmed Khalil, a senior leader of the Business Forum, said markets across the province, including Peshawar, will remain closed. He stated that all trader associations have agreed to support the strike.
A special meeting will be held in Peshawar on April 24 to finalize arrangements. The strike will be peaceful, and traders are also promoting a boycott of Israeli products through social media.
Khalil said trader associations have confirmed their participation, and transport groups are also being contacted. He expressed confidence that the strike will be successful.

Meanwhile, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, announced a nationwide strike on the same day. Speaking at a pro-Gaza rally in Islamabad, he criticized Pakistani leaders for not taking a stronger stance on Palestine.
He warned against ties with Israel and praised those supporting Palestine. He urged leaders to unite for Kashmir and Palestine despite political differences.
