PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has increased the annual grant for Deeni Madaris in the province from 30 million rupees to 100 million rupees.
Barrister Saif, the Information Advisor, shared details of the decision, stating that it was approved in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
He said, “Students of Deeni Madaris are a valuable asset to the country, and combining religious and modern education is an important need of the current era.”
According to Barrister Saif, the provincial government is taking steps to align students with modern requirements alongside religious education. He added that under the vision of PTI’s founder and the leadership of the KP Chief Minister, both religious and modern education are being promoted equally.

The advisor clarified that the provincial government is focusing on improving schools and giving special attention to Deeni Madaris to enhance the quality of education.
Earlier, Barrister Saif commented on government talks with Afghanistan, saying that the federal government’s initiation of dialogue is a case of “better late than never.”
However, he stressed that these talks are essential for lasting peace in the region. He demanded that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and all stakeholders be included in the process, adding that ignoring the provincial government would be irresponsible.
This decision by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is seen as an important step toward promoting religious educational institutions, which will not only improve their standards but also prepare students to meet modern challenges.
