ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court has approved bail for more than 120 PTI workers arrested during the November 26 protest. The court has ordered their immediate release.
The decision was given by a bench of Acting Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif. The court said there is no legal reason to keep the workers in custody.
The court ordered all workers to submit an affidavit at the police station, promising they will not commit such an act again. Each worker must also submit a surety bond of Rs 20,000.
Police had arrested several PTI workers during the November 26 protest. Their release was requested in court.
After the court’s decision, the workers are expected to be released soon.
