ISLAMABAD: Islamabad district has increased the number of union councils to 125 and raised the number of UC wards from 6 to 9.
According to a private media report, In Islamabad, 31 objections have been filed against the new delimitations and the increase in wards.
Regional Election Commissioner Naeem Ahmed of the Rawalpindi Division will start hearing these objections from today. According to the appellate authority, all objections will be decided by Friday, February 21.

After the decisions on the objections, the final list of new delimitations in Islamabad will be released next week. Today, the Regional Election Commissioner of Rawalpindi has called 8 objectors to present their positions and area maps.
