The PDMA has instructed the District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) to ensure preparedness and undertake necessary measures. Additionally, they have advised rescue officials and relevant authorities to maintain a high level of alertness and ensure sufficient emergency response personnel and equipment are available during the forecasted period.

Moreover, travelers have been cautioned about potential flooding and landslides and are urged to seek guidance and assistance from local administration, police, and rescue services in case of emergencies.

Simultaneously, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecasted moderate to heavy rains in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Islamabad, and Balochistan.

The NDMA stated that heavy rain or snowfall might lead to road closures in areas like Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Haveli from February 18th to 20th. The possibility of landslides in Upper KP, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan during this period cannot be discounted.
