ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has clarified that no existing ‘B’ forms have been canceled in Pakistan. The announcement was made in a post shared on social media.
In a post on NADRA’s official social media account, it was stated that all existing ‘B-Forms’ remain valid.
According to NADRA, children who already have a ‘B’ form and need a passport, or children aged between 10 and 18 applying for a ‘B’ form for the first time, should visit the nearest NADRA center with their parents.
Parents can also apply through NADRA’s Pak-ID mobile app. NADRA dismissed rumors about the cancellation of existing ‘B’ forms, advising people to follow their official social media pages for updates.

Process for FRC Application:
Parents must visit the nearest NADRA office with the child and a computerized birth certificate. If both parents are present, one will be the applicant, and the other will act as a verifier.

It should be noted that earlier, NADRA had decided to take fingerprints of children for issuing the ‘B’ form.
Under security features, fingerprints and photographs of children above the age of 10 have been made a mandatory part of the ‘B’ form. Under the new security features, a special ‘B’ form (registration certificate) will be issued from January 15.
In the first phase, fingerprints and photographs of children above the age of 10 and below the age of 18 will be taken from January 15. Fingerprints and photographs will be taken at NADRA centers.
