RAWALPINDI: Punjab Education Department has announced a schedule for educational activities, exams, and a new admission policy in the Rawalpindi division, the schedule is effective from January 15 to May 31.
As per the report, the academic year 2025-26 will start on April 1. Admissions for early grades, like Junior Class Prep and Nursery Class I, will begin on February 3.

Annual exams will take place as follows:
- Matriculation exams: March 4
- Class IX exams: March 21
- Intermediate exams: First week of May.
Government School Admissions Schedule will happen in two phases;
- Phase 1: April 1 to May 31 for Classes I and II
- Phase 2: August 15 to October 31 for other classes.

Annual exams for Classes I to VIII will be held from March 12 to March 25, with results announced on March 31. Each class will allow new admissions up to 10% of the total student capacity, limiting the overall number of new students in government schools.
Abrar Ahmad Khan, President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA), stated that private schools will start admissions on February 1, with exams scheduled for February. The new academic year for private schools will begin in March.
