The Punjab Education Department has announced a revision in school timings for the summer session of April to October 2025. This update comes just a few days after an earlier notification was issued, modifying the school schedule.
Earlier Timings (As per Previous Notification)
According to the previous notification, single-shift schools were to operate from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.
For double-shift schools, the morning shift was set from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.
The evening shift was planned from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Fridays.
Revised Timings (As per New Notification)
The department has now revised the school timings, bringing an earlier start and closing times. The updated schedule is as follows:

The notification states that these new timings will take effect from April 1, 2025, and will remain in place until October 15, 2025.

These revised teachers’ timings will also be implemented from April 1, 2025, and remain in effect until October 15, 2025.
