ISLAMABAD : The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially launched new feeder routes for electric buses to improve connectivity and ease transportation for Islamabad’s rural and urban areas. This initiative reflects the CDA’s commitment to providing modern, eco-friendly, and accessible public transport for all.
Feeder Routes Now Operational:
- FR-01: From NUST to Sohan
- FR-05: From Police Foundation to D-12
- FR-08A: From PIMS to Tramri Chowk
- FR-10: From Golra Morh Metro Station to B-17

CDA has decided to build a bus depot at Zero Point for electric buses. This project, costing Rs. 1.51 billion and expected to be completed in six months, will include:
- A parking area for one hundred buses.
- A service area.
- A data center.

A maintenance and workshop area;
Base charging stations for electric buses. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed that the opening of all 13 feeder routes and the groundbreaking of the bus depot at Zero Point should be expedited.
He also directed to introduce digital boards for advertising on these buses and at bus terminals. This initiative aims to reduce dependence on subsidies while maintaining the quality of public services.
